This paper takes the‘City Atlas of Nantong’as an example,and based on the actual design work of the atlas project.The cartographic organization design,content design and the art design of the city atlas are explained.A profound analysis of the design thinking,ideas and effects of the atlas will provide an effective reference for the design of the related atlas projects in the future,and open the worker's mind.
