韩愈游华山一事本末考

A study of HanYu's visit to Huashan

贞元十八年,时任四门博士的韩愈,告假东归洛阳。然而据李肇《唐国史补》记载,韩愈在归途中,游华山,于华山绝顶恸哭,由于涉及贤者失态,后来的学者对此事讳莫如深,认为登华山一事出于杜撰。文章拟对此事作出考证,对其真实性作出考察。

In theeighteenth year of Zhenyuan,Han Yu returned to Luoyang on leave.However,according to Li Zhao's History Supplement of Tang Dynasty,Han Yu traveled to Huashan on his way home and cried at the top of Huashan Mountain.Later scholars kept it secret because of the impoliteness of the sages.They believed that the climbing of Huashan was a fabrication.The article intends to make a textual research and investigation of its authenticity.
