学科论文中的评价意义比较——以语言学与文学学科中的元话语分析为例

摘要 学术论文作为报道学术成果和研究发现的语篇,其中必然包含各种评价性资源。体现评价意义的语篇资源种类繁多,其中包含元话语的使用。文章以文本细读结合质的方法,考察语言学和文学学术论文中元话语的分布,以描述这两类学科论文中评价特征。研究表明,两类论文作者均使用互动性元话语积极评价与自己相类似的观点或者消极评价与自己向左的观点,以提升自身研究的重要性。从两类论文内部看,不同部分均使用一定元话语体现了其自身交际目的。语言学论文作者通过使用模糊标识语,模糊自己的结论,显得比文学论文的作者谨慎,并提出自己的研究启示;而文学论文作者更擅长用情感策略表述自己的观点。这些与各自学科特征有关,语言学论文强调实用性而文学论文则强调情感的使用。 Academic papers are endowed with various evaluative resources,including meta-discourse in reporting the research findings.The present paper attempts to explore the similarities and differences of meta-discourse distribution and their evaluative feature between two disciplines,i.e.linguistics and literature via qualitative method and close reading.This inquiry demonstrates that scholars utilize positive evaluation of their own study and of those investigations in which the current study is grounded,and negative evaluation of dissenting views.In the concluding part,papers in linguistics tend to use hedges to show cautious in the conclusion,while papers in literature is recognized to show a tendency of utilizing effective strategies to present their views.A tentative explanation is provided to explore the underlying reasons.
