Analysis of Potential Subjects with Different Potential Values Based on ESI and InCites——Taking the Material Science of Three Universities in Shanxi Province as An Example

摘要 选择山西省较具代表性的三所高校:山西大学、中北大学和太原科技大学,从多个维度分析比较了它们的同一个学科——材料科学的科研水平和发展态势;并按照潜力学科与ESI门槛值的接近程度不同,将潜力学科划分为强势潜力学科、一般潜力学科和弱势潜力学科。通过分析其不同特点,提出了具有针对性的学科提升建议。 Three representative universities in Shanxi Province are selected:Shanxi University,North University of China and Taiyuan University of Science and Technology.The paper analyzes the same subject--materials science'scientific research level and development trend from different dimensions.According to the closeness of the potential subject and the ESI threshold,the potential subjects are divided into strong potential subjects,general potential subjects and weak potential subjects.By analyzing their different characteristics,the author puts forward targeted suggestions for subject improvement.
