摘要
自世界各国创办大学以来,对大学功能的认识在逐步加深,一般认为大学具有三大功能:人才培养、科学研究、服务社会。2011年4月30日,时任中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席的胡锦涛同志在清华大学建校100周年的讲话中两次提出“文化传承创新”,实际上就是指出了大学应当具有四大功能:人才培养、科学研究、服务社会、文化传承创新;在原有的三大功能之外,增加了“文化传承创新”第四功能。大学第四大功能“文化传承创新”的提出,具有划时代的意义,是中国对人类高等教育做出的一个历史性贡献。怎样实现“文化传承创新”功能,需要花大力气与巧力气培养培育学生的“三大素养”:文化素养、信息素养、哲学素养。教师必须首先不断培育并不断提高自身的这三大素养。
The function of university has been known gradually since universities were founded in the world,which can be commonly considered as three functions: talents cultivation,scientific research and service for society. In the speech of the 100 th anniversary of Tsinghua University on April 30,2011,Comrade Hu Jintao,then General Secretary of CPC Central Committee,President of the People’s Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, proposed twice the idea of "cultural inheritance and innovation",which,besides the fore three functions,is actually the fourth function of university. It was a historical contribution to high education made by China with epoch-making significance. To achieve the fourth function,students’ cultural literacy, information literacy and philosophy should be cultivated strongly and skillfully. Therefore, teachers themselves must first foster and develop those.
