血用以诱神、歆神之功能,其流行之初便与宗教行为紧密联系。人们把血这种珍贵"圣物"奉给神灵、祖先,祈求神祗为祭者祛危求安、祈禠禳灾。血祭神灵,见诸文献记载和民族志的事例不胜枚举。而这样广泛使用"血祭"通神,正是代表了不同地区的人群对于生命的共同追求,更折射出"血祭"的变迁轨迹。
