Type design plays an important role in graphic design, and has gradually become a hot topic in domestic design profession. Nowadays, Chinese characters representing East Asian culture, Latin letters symbolizing Western civilization, and Indian-Arabic numerals originating from Indian culture have jointly constructed the mainstream trend of contemporary type design. The cultural and social connotations of type design are very extensive. The primary function of text is to convey information accurately. Therefore, the most essential purpose of type design is the effectiveness of "visual communication". At the same time, type design bears profound symbolic intentions in the cultural, economic and social fields. Its design and form convey the progress of human civilization, science and technology, the change of ideas and the change of aesthetics.
