依托教材发展学生的思维能力

摘要 语言和思维有着十分密切的关系,学习和使用语言能够进一步促进思维的发展。在小学英语教学中训练学生的思维能力,课堂是主阵地,教材是资源库。本文以外语教学与研究出版社出版的新标准一年级起点小学英语教材为例,论述如何依托教材对学生进行思维能力的训练。教师应通过深入挖掘教材蕴含的智力因素,巧妙设计有利于思维培养的教学情境,开展形式多样且行之有效的思维训练活动,培养学生的思维能力。 There exists a very close relationship between language and thinking.Learning and using language can further promote the development of thinking.To train students’thinking ability in English teaching at primary schools,classrooms are the major ground,and textbooks are the resource database.Through some cases from primary school English textbooks published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press,this article discusses some methods to foster students’thinking ability.Teachers should develop students’thinking ability not only by unearthing the intelligence factors contained in the textbooks,designing smartly the thinking-oriented teaching situations,but also by carrying out various effective thinking-training activities.
