This paper analyzes energy development trends and major challenges in the current situation. In order to comply with the energy trend, China should develop low-carbon energy to cope with climate change; establish energy-saving concept and promote conservation priority strategy; innovate photovoltaic utilization mode to promote photovoltaic technology iteration; focus on tackling key issues energy storage technology, encourage the construction of energy storage systems; industrialization of electric vehicles, intelligent charging services; development of smart energy through information technology.
