高效率L波段相对论磁控管的研究

摘要 本文提出了一个高效率L波段相对论磁控管。该器件采用经典的6谐振腔结构。为了提高效率,综合采用了三种技术手段:首先,采用阴极激励技术来加快π模起振、抑制其它模式竞争;其次,采用阴极帽结构来抑制轴向电流泄露;第三,采用阶梯型轴向衍射输出结构以提高提取效率。仿真结果表明:在外加电压540 k V、电流4. 71 k A、磁场0. 3 T的条件下,磁控管在1. 5875 GHz频率下输出功率1. 94 GW,对应功率转换效率为76. 4%。该相对论磁控管工作于π模,输出微波为圆波导TE31模式,运行稳定,无模式竞争。 A high efficiency L-band relativistic magnetron (RM) is presented and investigated numerically, which adopts the classical A6 configuration. In order to enhance the power efficiency, three technical improvements are introduced into the RM. Firstly the cathode priming technique is used to speed up the mode startup and to suppress unwanted mode competition; secondly cathode endcaps are used to decrease the axial leakage current; and thirdly a stepped diffraction output structure is used to enhance the power efficiency. Typical simulation results are as follows: with an applied voltage of 540 kV, a current of 4.71 kA and a magnetic field of 0.3 T, the RM radiates microwave of 1.94 GW at 1.5875 GHz with a power conversion efficiency of 76.4%. The RM works at the π mode, and the output mode is the TE31. The RM works stable without mode competition.
