Analysisand optimization of English teaching for foreign students in local universities at the dimension of culture

在我国教育国际化发展的背景下,地方高校留学生数量与日俱增。为了提升留学生教育的师资力量,提高留学生国际教学水平,运用文化维度理论思维与方法,特别针对不同教育背景和基础的留学生学习状态,从凝练地方高校留学生专业特色,调动留学生学习积极性和主动性,改善教学效果,提高教学效率切入,探讨地方高校改革留学生专业课英文教学弊端的方法和进路,以促进地方高校国际化办学能力的提高。

The internationalization of education in China has led to a rapid increase in the number of international students in local universities. In order to improve the faculty strength and the teaching level for international students,especially in view of the students’ different educational backgrounds and foundations,we propose to employ the cultural dimension theory to study this problem. We start from various aspects,including refining the professional characteristics of foreign university students,mobilizing the enthusiasm and initiative of foreign students,and improving teaching effectiveness and teaching efficiency. On this basis,we have thoroughly explored the methods and approaches for reforming the disadvantages of English teaching in specialized courses,with a view to improving the level of internationalization of local universities.
