Multimodal Analysis of the Compositional Meaning of the Publicity Film Beautiful Scenery in Guangxi

以Kress和van Leeuveen的视觉语法分析框架为理论支撑,使用Multimodel Analysis Visual和Multimodal Analysis Image分析工具,对广西旅游形象宣传片《美在广西》的语篇功能意义进行分析和解读,结果发现:图像、声音及文字的多模态表现手法在语篇意义的构建中体现出非常重要的作用,它们彼此间在语篇中的有机融合和布局,有助于人们更具象、更真实地理解语篇的真正内涵。

With Kress and Van Leeuwens visual grammar as a theoretical framework and Multimodal Analysis Visual and Multimodal Analysis Image as analytical tools,the compositional meaning of the publicity film Beautiful Scenery in Guangxi is analyzed. The analysis can explain how image,audio and words are combined together to form a meaningful multimodal discourse. It is found that the combination of image, audio and word plays an important role in people's understanding the multimodal discourse, and the organic integration and layout of them in discourse help people to interpret the real meaning of discourse more concretely and truly.
