摘要
一直以来,中国学界对于郭沫若与爱尔兰戏剧家约翰·辛格的文学关系研究重在对两位作家的创作观念契合和文学风格的比较,忽视对郭沫若接触辛格戏剧历史契机的追溯,缺乏此领域的始源性考据研究成果。本文旨在将研究置于1920年中国文学变革的历史文化语境,通过溯源郭沫若1920—1926年的主要文学活动及其文学思想转变、郭沫若与同期其他作家的历史关联与互动,考辨郭沫若启动翻译辛格戏剧工作的真实历史动因。本文认为,郭沫若对于辛格剧作的接受是基于郭沫若思想和文学观念转变的文化实践。反观郭沫若译介辛格戏剧时秉持"为我所用"的文化理念,对于当代中国"学术自信"的文化建设具有重要的指导意义。
The paper aims at discussing the historical reasons why Guo Moruo translated Irish playwright J.M.Synge and how Synge’s plays exerted his influences in Guo’s literary creation by tracing back to the 1920s’context and Guo’s major literary activities during 1920 to 1926.The paper argues that Synge being accepted by Guo Moruo is a concrete cultural practice,based on Guo’s transformation of his ideas on China’s society and literature.Further it is of great significance to the contemporary cultural development by taking a second look at Guo Moruo’s philosophy of“working for my use”in his introduction and translation of a foreign writer into China.
