论萨丕尔的语言观——爱德华·萨丕尔《语言论》解读

On Edward Sapir's View of Language from His Book Language: An Introduction to the Study of Speech

萨丕尔作为美国人类语言学和文化语言学奠基人、描写语言学派奠基人之一,在他的语言学研究体系中,必然会以人类学、社会学、心理学、美学等多角度研究思维方式来重新解构对于人类语言的内部形式和外部形式的认知。本文从语言的性质、语言的类型、语言的演变、文化语言观四个方面解读萨丕尔的著作《语言论》,试图建构萨丕尔的语言观,以期能更为准确地把握萨丕尔的语言学思想。

Edward Sapir is described as a founder of the anthropological linguistics,cultural linguistics and the most important American descriptivist,so in his linguistic research system, he is bound to deconstruct the external and internal form of human language from the multiple perspectives such as anthropology,sociology,psychology,aesthetics,etc.This article interprets Sapir's book Language: An Introduction to the Study of Speech from four aspects: the language nature,type,evolution,and cultural language view,in an attempt to figure out Sapir's view of language,and to grasp his linguistic thought with more accuracy.
