本文运用文学伦理学批评方法对莎朗·欧兹的诗作《我回到1937年5月》进行解读。诗歌通过主人公"我"对于阻止父母走进婚姻殿堂的想象,探讨了无爱的夫妻伦理关系所种下的恶果。作为不幸婚姻产物的"我"在面对父母的结合时陷入了伦理两难:任其自然发展,会导致日后的婚姻悲剧;让父母及早醒悟,则否定了"我"的伦理身份。最终,"我"在理性意志的主导下,选择接受现实,通过诗歌创作来达成与这个世界的和解。

This paper attempts to analyze the poem I Go Back to May 1937 by ethical literary criticism.The poetry discusses the evil consequence planted by no love couple ethical relationship via the hero"I"'s imagination of stopping his parents from getting married."I",as the fruit of an unhappy family,is trapped into ethical dilemma in the face of his parents'union:if she let it happen naturally,the marriage tragedy of later days will happen;if she stops it,then the ethical identity"I"will be negated.Finally,under the guidance of rational will,"I"choose to accept the reality and have a compromise with the world via the creation of poetry.
