目前,单片机已被广泛地应用到了很多种领域。全国各大院校也开设了形式多样的单片机相关课程及实验和实训。单片机作为一种非常重要的工具被应用于课程设计、毕业设计以及学生各类电子设计竞赛中。单片机的体积小,抗干扰,对环境无太大要求,具有可靠性、灵活性、简便性。因此,在我国,单片机还被广泛应用在通讯类、工业控制类、仪器仪表类、家用电器类和军工类等各行各业之中。然而,单片机设计成功以后,人们还需反复搭电路、开发印制电路板,这样一来,就增加了开发的成本,这可能是初学者学习单片机的问题所在。
