The Protection Mechanism of Traditional Villages from the Legal Perspective:Taking the Protection of Tibetan Traditional Villages in Garze Prefecture as an Example

藏区传统村落是我国少数民族历史演进与优秀传统文化的实物载体,村落具有民族特色的景观建筑遭到破坏,村落所承载的民族优秀文化和传统日渐消失,甘孜藏族自治州应充分发挥民族地区自治权,制定单行条例,建立健全藏族传统村落保护的法律体系,使藏族传统文化有序传承,中华民族优秀文化的多样性得以延续。

The traditional villages in Tibetan areas are the physical carriers of the historical evolution of China's ethnic groups and outstanding traditional culture. However, some landscape buildings with ethnic characteristics in the village were destroyed, and some excellent ethnic culture and traditions carried by the villages are gradually disappearing, too. The Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture should give full play to the autonomy of ethnic areas, formulate specific regulations, establish and improve the legal system for the protection of Tibetan traditional villages, develop the Tibetan traditional cultures and make its diversity to continue.
