摘要
商务英语阅读是一门英语技能和商务知识并重的课程,与一般的语言技能课程相比,语言与内容的双重目标使学习者在商务英语阅读教学过程中承受较重的认知负荷。本文以认知负荷理论为基础,提出了优化教学设计控制认知负荷的方法,即尽量在教学环节减少的情况下阻碍阅读的认知负荷,并且增加促进阅读的认知负荷,旨在帮助学生充分利用有限的认知资源,达到最佳的商务英语阅读效果。
In the Business English Reading course,language skills and business content are taught and learned together.Learners engaged in a dual-focused business English reading course require a higher cognitive load than in a course with an exclusive focus on language acquisition.Based on the cognitive load theory,the paper provides specific methods to optimize the management of cognitive load in the instructional design by decreasing a load that impedes reading process and increasing a load that facilitates reading process.The purpose of this paper is therefore to enable students’ limited cognitive resources to be effectively allocated to activities that improve business English reading comprehension.
