西昌市具有得到独厚的光、热、水和土地资源,生产的杂交玉米种子商品性好、产量高,是国家级杂交玉米制种基地,是国家西南片区唯一的热带血缘硬粒型玉米制种基地,发展前景广阔。

Xichang is rich in sunlight,heat,water and land resources.The hybrid corn seeds produced here have both favorable characteristics and high production.Xichang is one of the national hybrid corn seed production bases,and has become the only seed production base of tropical gene hard-grain corn in Southwest China.
