摘要
发现系统是一种通过数据仓储实现馆藏资源统一揭示的工具,根据元数据来源可分为资源发现系统与学术搜索引擎两大类。本文调查国内113所"211工程"高校图书馆,选取5家主流资源发现系统(Primo、Summon、超星发现、Find+、EDS)与3家学术搜索引擎(百度学术、谷歌学术、微软学术)进行横向和纵向对比分析,挖掘高校图书馆选择发现系统的角度与特点。指出高校图书馆可以从元数据质量、OPAC融合程度、系统响应速度、在线科研功能、移动化及费用等方面来选择发现系统。
The discovery system is a tool for unifying the collection resources through data warehousing, according to the source of metadata, it can be divided into two categories: resource discovery system and academic search engine. This paper investigates 113 "211 Project" university libraries in China, and selects discovery systems. The mainstream resource discovery systems Primo, Summon, Chaoxing Discovery, Find+, EDS and three academic search engines Baidu Academic, Google Scholar, and Microsoft Academic conducted horizontal and vertical comparative analysis to explore the perspective and characteristics of the university library selection and discovery system. It is pointed out that university libraries can choose discovery systems from the aspects of metadata quality, OPAC integration degree, system response speed, online research function, mobility and cost.
