The Study Tradition and the Future of Ethics in China

改革开放以来,我国伦理学的研究取得了重大进展和成就,发展出相对完整的学科建制,并形成了特定的研究传统。我们一方面要致敬传统,一方面要走出传统。未来的伦理学研究需要走出既成的路径依赖,从学习模仿西方、整理史料的初级阶段走向创新发展的高级阶段。新生代学者应注重把握主流学术资源,尤其是其中所体现的主要精神,既要认真对待老一辈伦理学工作者的理论贡献,又要跳出其视野局限,要有新时代的格局与大气。

Since the reform and opening up, the studies of ethics in china have got great development and achievement, developed relative complete subject system, and formed specific study tradition. We need to respect tradition, and also step out it. The studies of ethics in future should be on the way of innovation. The scholars of new generation ought to focus on main stream of academic resources and need to have large pattern and be open minded.
