摘要
清代到民国时期,土地交易频繁,作为买卖凭证的契约,是反映汉字应用现象的实物资料。出自山西省万泉县范村的牛姓家族契约,是一组张数多、字量丰富的契约文书。它们由民间书手书写,用字从俗从简,呈现了清到民国时期汉字使用现象,反映了这一时期汉字的使用特点,是研究近代汉字发展史的珍贵资料。
The land transaction was very frequent in Qing dynasty and the Republic of China. The contracts that were served as the vouchers of the transaction recorded the application of the Chinese scripts. The abundant contracts of a Niu family of village Fan, Wanquan county, Shanxi province were generally handwritten by the folk scribes and utilized many vernacular forms and simplified forms in their writings. These materials demonstrated the featured usage of the characters of that period and thus become valuable sources for the study of modern history of Chinese writing.
