摘要
动机缺失是由外部因素的负面影响而直接导致或者是由外部因素引起内部因素的负面变化而导致的动机下降。文中首先回顾并总结目前国内外有关英语学习者动机缺失的调查研究,明确外语学习者常见的动机缺失影响因素,然后对356名高职院校学生的英语学习动机缺失状况进行了定量定性分析研究。实验数据表明,缺少有效学习策略、考试成绩、缺乏内在动机、教师能力与教学风格、教材与教学内容等5类因素成为高职院校学生动机缺失的主因,其中最为显著的因素为缺少有效学习策略缺失。研究结果希望能对消除高职学生英语学习动机缺失现象发挥指导作用。
The lack of motivation is directly caused by the negative influence of external factors or the negative change of internal factors caused by external factors. Firstly, this paper reviews and summarizes the current domestic and foreign researches on English learners’ motivation deficiency, clarifies the common influencing factors of foreign language learners’ motivation deficiency, and then conducts a quantitative and qualitative analysis and research on 356 students’ English learning motivation deficiency in vocational colleges. The results show that five kinds of factors become the main cause of the lack of motivation of students in vocational colleges―the lack of effective learning strategies, examination results, the lack of intrinsic motivation, teacher ability and teaching style, teaching materials and teaching content, and the most significant of the factors is the lack of effective learning strategies. The results of this study are expected to play a guiding role in eliminating the lack of English learning motivation of the students in vocational colleges.
