摘要
现实主义小说《金瓶梅》成功塑造了中国女性群体形象,芮效卫译本已成为西方世界了解中华文化的重要媒介。本文在女性主义视域下基于前言与脚注、增补、劫持的译法从"被动接受"到"主动面对"美化人物形象、从"原作评析"到"广泛传播"提升译作价值、从"神秘奇特"到"柔和平实"推动思想认同,从三个层面解读《金瓶梅》芮译本的卜龟章节,寻找蕴含在其中的女性主义翻译理论,以期读者更好地理解翻译活动传承中华文化的意义。
The realistic novel of The Plum in the Golden Vase successfully portrays the group image of the Chinese females.The version translated by David Tod Roy has been an important medium for the Westerners to know the Chinese culture.From the perspective of Feminism and based on the translation methods of prefacing and footnoting,supplementing,and hijacking,this paper finds that the chapter"the Tortoise Oracle"in the translation version is expounded from the three levels as follows:beautification of protagonist image from "passive acceptance"to"active face-up-to",promotion of translation value from "comment of the original"to"wide spreading of the translated version",and the ideological recognition shifted from the"mysterious and peculiar"to the"gentle and plain",and discovers the translation theory of Feminism implied in order for readers to better understand the translating significance for the inheritance of the Chinese culture.
