唐代世族出家女子考——以唐代比丘尼墓志为中心

The Research of Nuns Born in the Gentry of the Tang Dynasty Based on the Tombstone of the Tang Dynasty

唐代佛教盛行,信众普遍,僧尼舍身出家者众多,女尼就是其中一个特殊的佛教群体。在现已发现的唐代比丘尼墓志中,有20余方墓主比丘尼出身于唐代的世家大族,她们虽家世显赫,却能舍弃奢华,皈依佛门,弘扬佛法。对这些世族出身的女尼进行详细的家世考证,并通过史志互证,纠正史书之讹误,补充史书之缺漏。

Buddhism prevailed in the Tang Dynasty,and believers were common.There were many monks and nuns who gave up their bodies and were away out from the earthly world.Nuns were one of the special Buddhist groups.Among the epitaphs of Bhiksuni in the Tang Dynasty that have been discovered,more than 20 tomb owners were from the Tang Dynasty’s aristocratic families.Although they had a prominent family background,they can give up luxury,convert to Buddhism and promoted Buddhism.This paper intends to make a detailed family investigation of these women and nuns of the same ethnic background,and correct the mistakes in the history books and supplement the gaps in the history books through mutual verification of historical records.
