The Establishment and Development of China's Multi-level Library Science Education System Since The Reform and Opening up

改革开放以来,我国图书馆学教育迅速发展,形成了多层次的图书馆学教育体系。这个体系的形成,经历了1978年至20世纪80年代的初步建立时期、20世纪90年代向高层次发展时期和进入21世纪以后的进一步完善时期。目前,这一教育体系已逐步走向本科教育稳中趋降,研究生教育占据主导地位,博士生教育平稳发展的格局,它是与当前社会信息化和图书馆事业发展对专业人才的需求相适应的。

China’s library science education has undergone a rapid development since the reform and opening up.A multilevel education system has gradually come into being.The evolution of this system has experienced the initial establishment period from 1978 to 1980s,the high-level development period in the 1990s,and the further perfection period after entering the 21st century.At present,China’s library science education system has mounted to a stage characterized with steady decline in undergraduate education,dominant position of postgraduate education and stable development of doctoral education.This education system is compatible with the demands of professionals in the process of social informatization and library development.
