Research on the Connotation and Long-term Mechanism of Government's People-centered Programs

为民办实事是习总书记在浙江省工作期间,遵循"以人为本"的发展理念,从浙江省的实际情况出发,顺应"八八战略"而提出的一项重要举措。习总书记指出为民办实事旨在为民,为民办实事重在办事、为民办实事成于务实。从2003年开始,浙江省每年推出十项为民办实事项目,切实解决了人民群众呼声最高,要求最强烈的问题,获得了人民群众的高度称赞。为民办实事的重要论述及其长效机制对以人民为中心的发展思路做出了重要的探索。

To do practical things for the people is an important measure put forward by General Secretary Xi during his working in Zhejiang Province.It follows the “people-oriented” development concept,starting from the actual situation in Zhejiang Province and adapting to an important initiative proposed by the “Eight-Eight Strategy”.General Secretary Xi has pointed out that doing practical things for the people lies in aiming at the people,putting stress on doing practical things and succeeding in doing pragmatic things.Since 2003,Zhejiang Province has launched ten practical projects for the people’s livelihood every year,which has effectively solved the problems increasingly voiced and strongly demanded by people,then it has been praised highly from the people.The important discussions on the government’s doing practical things for people and its long-mechanism have made important explorations for the development of the people-centered approach.
