概念映射模式与语域分析——以[战争]隐喻使用为例

Register Analysis Based on Conceptual Mapping Model — A Case Study of WAR Metaphor Use

文章设计了以概念映射模式为基础的语域分析方法,比较了商务话语和健康话语中的[战争]隐喻。结果表明,在语言层面上,后者比前者使用了更多、更动态及更具体的隐喻词语;在思维层面上,前者中的[战争]隐喻映射突显"战争的计划性"而后者突显"过程的突然性和猛烈性";在交际层面上,前者的[战争]隐喻传递的评价意义为{中性:情感——渴望}而后者传递的评价意义为{消极:判断——危险}。这种基于概念映射模式的语域分析通过分析隐喻使用在语言、思维和交际三个层面的映射内容,从而揭示不同语域的差异。

In the paper an approach of register analysis based on conceptual mapping model is designed to compare WAR metaphor use in business discourse and health discourse.It is found that the latter uses more,more dynamic and more specific metaphors on the linguistic level.On the conceptual level,WAR metaphoric mapping in the former highlights the strategic nature of wars while that of the latter,the suddenness and violence of the war process.On the communicative level,WAR metaphoric mapping in the former conveys the evaluative meaning{Neutral:Affect--Desire}while that of the latter,the evaluative meaning{Negative:Judgment--Danger}.The register analysis under discussion reveals register differences through comparing metaphoric mapping on the linguistic,conceptual and communicative levels.
