Objective To investigate the effect of evaluation-based treatment and management model on treatment compliance in the patients with first-episode depression. Methods 240 cases of first-episode depression who were diagnosed in the outpatient clinic in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2017 were selected and were divided into the intervention group and the control group according to the randomization principle. The control group was only given regular outpatient treatment. The intervention group was given evaluation-based treatment and management using the Patient Health Self-evaluation Scale-9(PHQ-9). The compliance at 12 months of treatment was observed. Results There were significant statistical differences between the two groups in the scores of three dimensions of ADCQ recognition between doctors and patients, autonomy maintenance, and positive beliefs and the total score at the end of 12 months of treatment (P<0.01). There was no statistically significant difference in the scores between the two groups in the family support dimension(P>0.05). Conclusion The treatment compliance in the patients with first-episode depression who receive the evaluation-based treatment and management model is superior to that in the patients with natural-state depression and is therefore worthy of promotion.
