The Collection and Compilation of Cantonese Poems

为使粤诗创作成果流于不坠,历代均有人勉力采辑,于别集之外,纂为总集出版。规模虽不大,却保存了乡邦的文学遗产,也彰显了岭南诗家的实力,增强了粤人的文化自信。自民国以来,陆续有留心乡邦文化建设的人士着力于搜求、整理、出版前贤的诗歌文献,还有部分重要岭南诗集或诗文集经整理后以单行本形式出版。近年广东文化学术界在地方文献汇辑出版方面的重大举措是推出《清代稿钞本》《广州大典》,前者有不少是岭南的诗歌文献,后者集部的相当部分是广府作者的诗集或诗文集。大型丛书《清代诗文集汇编》也收录有岭南的诗歌文献。为发掘、抢救与保护岭南文化遗产,摸查岭南文学家底,全面展示岭南诗人创作成果,中山大学研究团队启动国内第一部超大规模的区域诗歌总集《全粤诗》的编纂工程,目标是把迄今存世的所有古近代粤人诗作均汇编入集。

The gradual rise of poetry in Southern China had led to the creation of a large number of Cantonese poems.In order to keep these poems from disappearing,efforts have been made to collect and organize them.Although most general collections are small in size,they bring together the works of local poets and preserve the local literary heritage.By demonstrating the creative strength of the poets in the South,the cultural confidence of the Cantonese people can also be enhanced.Since the Republican China,there have been a number of organizations and individuals dedicated to the searching,collecting and publishing of Cantonese poems.In recent years,The Manuscripts and Transcripts of the Qing Dynasty and The Library of Canon have been published.Some Cantonese poems are also included in The Collection of Poems and Proses in the Qing Dynasty.The above works have created favorable conditions for the compilation of Cantonese poetry works in a systematic and comprehensive way.To explore and preserve the cultural heritage,satisfy readers'demands,explore the achievements of Cantonese poets and deepen the studies of Cantonese culture,the Chinese Ancient Literature Institute of Sun Yatsen University has started‘The Complete Cantonese Poems'project.This is the first large-scale regional poetry collection activity in China.As a National Social Science Fund project,the goal is to put together all Cantonese poems,both ancient and modern.The project has achieved important results.The volumes covering the period from the Han to the Ming Dynasties have already been done.The volumes on the Qing Dynasty are still being compiled.
