Research on Business English Translation under the Theory of Functional Equivalence

在经济全球化的大背景下,商务英语翻译的重要性逐渐被人们所重视,奈达的功能对等理论对商务英语中各类文本的翻译有着重要的指导作用。功能对等理论不仅有助于准确地翻译商务英语中的各类文本,而且能将不同国家的语言及文化特点翻译出来,将目的语与源语的等值最大程度地体现出来。文章主要探讨了如何应用功能对等理论对商标、信用证、合同、信函与广告文本进行翻译。

Under the background of economic globalization,the importance of business English translation has gradually emerged,Nida's functional equivalence theory gradually becomes the focus of the people in the field of business English.It contributes to the realization of both the accurate translation of various types of business English texts and the appropriate translation of language and cultural features among different countries,so as to achieve the equivalence to the greatest extent between the source language and the target language.This paper primarily discusses how to translate the trademark,the letter of credit,the contract,the business letter,and advertisements by applying the function equivalence theory to business English.
