奥地利当代作家彼得·汉德克因创作多产、题材广泛而享誉世界文坛,也因其鲜明的艺术个性而备受争议。他在小说和戏剧方面均有卓著的成就,迄今已发表至少16部戏剧,曾获多项国际戏剧奖。他从早期反传统戏剧创作开始,经历了辩证复归的建构性阶段,进而把个体感受与文化反思融入戏剧作品之中,表现出独特的艺术创新精神。文章选择他早期至20世纪80年代末的主要戏剧作品进行分析,尝试阐明他的戏剧艺术特色的演变轨迹。

The contemporary Austrian writer Peter Handke is renowned in the literary world because of his prolific literary writings that cover a wide range of subjects.He is also a controversial figure because of his distinctive artistic style.He has made outstanding achievements in both fiction and drama.He has published no less than 16 plays,which have won him several international theatre awards.He began with the anti-traditional drama creation at the early stage of his writing.After undergoing the construction stage of a dialectical return,he went further to project his personal feelings and cultural reflections into his works,displaying a unique spirit of artistic innovation.This paper analyzes his main dramatic works from the early stage to the end of 1980s,and tries to elucidate the transformation of his dramatic artistic features.
