摘要
抽象绘画形式的意义一直是摆在观者面前的难题。当代美国学者赛努齐从认知语言学中的"隐喻"和"意象图式"两个基本概念出发,试图阐释抽象表现主义绘画的创作意图及其之于观者的意义,从而对20世纪美国现代主义艺术批评形成了有效的修正及补充。赛努齐指出,抽象表现主义以隐喻的方式传递意义。艺术家通过唤起身体感觉而进行沟通,这些感觉高度由我们已内化的意象图式所构造,因此,抽象并非不可捉摸。在其分析过程中,艺术视知觉的特性和复杂性得到凸显,艺术史研究的视野也得以更新。
The interpretation of abstract form is always a difficult problem for the audience.Based on two basic concepts “metaphor” and “image schema” in cognitive linguistics,contemporary American scholar Claude Cernuschi tried to explain creation intentions of abstract expressionism painting and its meaning to the audience,thus forming an effective correction and supplement to American modernist art criticism in the 20th century.As Cernuschi has pointed out,abstract expressionism conveys meaning in a metaphorical way.Artists communicate with audience by evoking bodily sensations,which are highly constructed by our internalized image schema,so that abstraction is not elusive.During this analytical process,the characteristics and complexity of art visual perception have been highlighted and the horizon of art history research has been updated.
