On the Main Measures of the United States Leading Ideological and Public Opinion

美国在社会治理实践和应对各种社会矛盾冲突的过程中注重对社会思想舆论的引领,有效维护了社会主流价值观和统治阶级利益。其主要举措包括:运用法治方式促进社会共识;发挥学校教育的社会教化功能;借助宗教的价值引领和政治导向作用;利用民意调查了解和引领民意;多举措强化媒体的思想舆论引领力。尽管中美社会制度、发展道路、价值观念等有所不同,但这些举措所包含的引领思想舆论的共通性仍能给我们一些启示。

In the process of social governance practice and coping with various social contradictions and conflicts,the United States pays attention to the guidance of social ideological public opinion and effectively safeguards the mainstream values of society and the interests of the ruling class. Its main measures are: promoting social consensus by the way of rule of law, giving play to the social education function of school education, using the value of religion to lead political guiding, using public opinion survey to understand and lead public opinion, using many measures to strengthen the media’s ideological and public opinion. Although China and the United States have different social systems, development paths and values, the commonality of leading public opinion in these measures can still enlighten us.
