外来词是现代汉语词汇系统的重要组成部分,可分为纯音译词、音义兼译词、半音译半意译词、音译注释词、字母词等 5种译借类型。外来词的频繁使用,丰富了现代汉语词汇系统,具体表现为:在语音方面,增加了新的语音形式,促进汉语语词多音节化;在词汇方面,增添了新语素,增加了同音词、异形词,增添了新词缀等。

Loan words are an important part of the vocabulary system of modern Chinese language, which can be divided into five types: pure transliterated words, phonetic and semantic words, semi-transliterated and semi-free words, transliterated annotated words, and alphabetic words. The frequent use of loanwords enriches the vocabulary system of modern Chinese, which is manifested as: new phonetic forms are added to promote the polysyllabic development of Chinese words in the aspect of phonetics.In terms of vocabulary, new morphemes, homophones, heteromorphic words and affixes have been added.
