评价理论视域下的贵州会展外宣文本英译研究

A Study on English-Translated External Publicity Text of Guizhou International Convention and Exhibition from the Perspective of Appraisal Theory

英语是国际会展的使用语言之一,贵州省贵阳市各类国际会展都会提供英汉双语资料。会议或展览的主题、简介以及标识语等各类服务资料都会翻译成英文。经过多年的翻译和使用,贵州会展汉英翻译的现状如何?作者从"生态文明贵阳国际论坛"论坛的官方网页上选取了双语案例,在系统功能语言学的评价理论态度系统视域下对翻译案例进行态度资源分析,从态度系统的情感、判定、鉴赏三个方面分析译文的质量,研究贵州会展外宣文本汉译英的翻译现状。

English is one of the languages used in global conferences and exhibitions.The theme,introduction,slogan and documents are provided for all global conferences and exhibitions held in Guiyang,Guizhou Province.How about the quality of Chinese to English translation for conferences and exhibitions held in Guizhou after years’translation and use?In this paper,some documents in both Chinese and English from the official website of Eco Forum Global Guiyang are selected to conduct attitude analysis under attitude system of appraisal theory of systemic functional linguistics,and the translation quality is analyzed from the perspective of affect,judgment,appreciation of attitude system,so as to study the translation quality of documents in global conferences and exhibitions held in Guizhou
