Science is Benefit for Mankind-Book-Review of the "Life and Times of Two American Reds Joan Hinton and Erwin(sid) Engst in China"

一生追求"为全人类解放而奋斗"的国际主义战士阳早、寒春,为中国人民的解放事业和人民幸福,从美国来到中国。作为畜牧专家和实验物理学家,恪守"科学应为人类创造幸福"的理念,凭借在科研与实践中练就的智慧和技能,依仗严紧的探索和创新精神,在几十年饲养奶牛的劳作中,把自己打造成奶牛场机械化专家,为中国农业现代化做出重大贡献。这两个闪光的名字将永远铭刻在中国农业机械化、现代化的辉煌史册中。

Joan Hinton and Erwin(sid) Engst are two internationalist fighters, who pursued lifetime for the "struggle for the liberation of all mankind". They came to China from the United States for the cause of liberation and happiness of the Chinese people. As animal husbandry experts and experimental physicists, they adhere to the idea that science should create happiness for human beings, rely on the wisdom and skills acquired in scientific research and practice, and rely on the spirit of exploration and innovation. During the period of raising dairy cows, they turned themselves into experts in mechanization of dairy farms and made great contributions to China’s agricultural modernization. These two shining names will be engraved on the glorious history of Chinese agricultural mechanization and modernization.
