Nursing management of a patient receiving blood purification and bortezomib therapy for POEMS syndrome complicating acute kidney injury

POEMS综合征是一种副肿瘤综合征,涉及多系统损害。POEMS的治疗和护理较复杂,本研究通过开展皮肤护理、容量管理、腹腔穿刺引流术的护理、骨髓穿刺并发症的预防与护理、中心静脉置管护理、肾活检护理、硼替佐米联合地塞米松治疗护理以及心理护理等综合性护理,提高患者治疗依从性,减少相关并发症,改善患者生活质量。

The POEMS syndrome is a rare paraneoplastic syndrome which involves multiple system injury.Given the complexity in treatment and nursing care of POEMS syndrome,comprehensive nursing interventions should be carried out during the treatment.This paper reviewed the nursing management of one patient receiving blood purification and bortezomib therapy for POEMS syndrome complicating acute kidney injury.Nursing measures mainly included skin care,volume control,peritoneal drainage,prevention and nursing care of bone marrowaspiration complications,maintenance of central venous catheter,nursing care of renal biopsy,nursing care of bortezomib plus dexamethasone therapy and psychological care,in order to improve treatment compliance,reduce risk of complications and improve quality of life of the patient during treatment.
