In 1945,“mass suicide” occurredin Okinawa. This article will focus on the series works about the “mass suicide” created by the writer Sadatosi Osiro from Okinawa, and will analyzeits association with the works of other writers. It concerns that the local writers in Okinawa have different understandings of “mass suicide” from Japanese representative writers. Basing on this, the article will analyze the theme creation of “mass suicide” works created by Sadatosi Osiro and the features of Okinawa literature further.
