摘要
通过设计内地西藏班(校)高中生英语学习动机的问卷,对J市西藏中学高中生的英语学习动机进行探讨。研究发现,J市西藏中学高中生的英语学习动机主要包括个人发展动机、内在兴趣动机、社会责任动机、学习情境动机四种类型。不同年级与不同性别学生的英语学习动机存在显著差异。其中,高一同学的内在兴趣动机明显高于预科及高二的同学,女生内在兴趣动机明显高于男生。建议在教学中抓住藏族高中生英语学习的"关键期",引导其掌握科学的学习方法,营造良好的英语学习氛围,注意分层教学和因材施教,以此有效提高内地西藏班(校)高中生的英语学习动机。
Based on questionnaire,this research investigates the English learning motivation of Tibetan students at Tibetan high school in China's Mainland.The study also validates a questionnaire designed for measuring the motivation of English learning in Tibetan high school.Analysis reveals a high degree of reliability and credibility of the questionnaire.Four types of motivations are identified,namely:personal development motivation,intrinsic interest motivation,social responsibility motivation,and learning context motivation.Significant differences are found in the motivation of English learning of different English learners.Among students of Tibetan high school,senior one students are found to have a significantly higher intrinsic interest motivation than foundation students and senior two students.In addition,the intrinsic interest motivation of the female students is also remarkably higher than that of the male students.The study suggests that the key period of English learning of Tibetan students should be taken into great consideration.Scientific learning method and environment are highly promoted to teach students according to their levels and abilities.Therefore,the English learning motivation of Tibetan students at the Tibetan high school in China's Mainland can be effectively improved.
