Global Value Chain Embeddedness,Industrial Agglomeration and Technical Progress of China's Industrial Sectors

本文使用中国工业行业面板数据,对全球价值链嵌入和产业集聚的相互关系及其对技术进步的影响进行理论分析和实证检验,并进一步从资源配置和资源利用的角度讨论了全球价值链嵌入、产业集聚对于技术进步的影响。研究发现:随着全球价值链嵌入程度和产业集聚程度的加深,全球价值链嵌入和产业集聚对技术进步分别起促进和阻碍作用;二者对于技术进步的影响存在相互加强的效应;全球价值链嵌入和产业集聚对于技术进步的作用主要在资源配置方面。这些发现为进一步引导我国加工贸易发展、加强技术引进和吸收、优化资源配置和推动创新提供了支持。

By using panel data from China's industrial sectors,this thesis makes a theoretical analysis and empirical test on the interrelationship of GVC embeddedness and industrial agglomeration and its influence on technical progress,and further investigates their relationship from both resource allocation and resource utilization perspective.This study finds that as the degree of GVC embeddedness and industrial agglomeration deepen,they promote and hinder technical progress respectively;both reinforce each other in effecting technical progress;the effect of GVC embeddedness and industrial agglomeration on technical progress exist mainly in resource allocation.These findings provide support for further guiding the development of our country's processing trade,strengthening the technological introduction and absorption,optimizing allocation of resources and promotinginnovation.
