L-xylose is an important pharmaceutical intermediate,which can be used to synthesize a series of anti-cancer,anti-AIDS,anti-hepatitis C virus and other drugs.The current preparation routes of L-xylose include chemical synthesis and biosynthesis.The advantages and disadvantages of different preparation methods were analyzed.The research progress in the application of L-xylose was reviewed.The development trend and application prospect of L-xylose were prospected.
