Guard the Flood and Protect the Homeland:a Rereading of “Jing Wei Fills up the Sea”

"精卫填海"的解读应主要着力于两个方面:一是"精卫",二是"填海"。"精卫"是太阳神炎帝的小女儿,是小太阳神,死后化生为鸟,蕴含了远古先民崇日崇鸟的精神内核。另外,据"其鸣自詨"及相关语音知识可知,"精卫"是"警卫"同音异注,含有警戒洪水,护卫家园的意思。"填海"是敷土造陆的原型,反映了精卫填海的背景是仰韶文化时期的海侵事件,也衬托出远古先民对海洋的恐惧,而"精卫填海"的整个过程既是对海洋的仇恨,又是警戒护卫族人的一种表现。
