Summary of Valve Body Material Selection in Oil and Gas Industry

石油天然气工业用阀门主体材料的选择对阀门的质量和性能具有关键作用。石油天然气工业用阀门的主体材料种类繁多,根据国际通用材料标准——美国ASTM标准和阀门行业使用习惯,本文对阀门主体材料常用的四类,即普通碳钢、高温钢、低温钢、不锈钢铸件和锻件材料的化学组成、性能和适用工况进行了分析。同时,结合工程实例,对阀门主体材料的选择方式和原则进行了实例说明,以期为石油天然气工业用阀门主体材料的选择提供参考。

The valve body material selection is very important to valve’s quality and performance in oil and gas industry.Valve body materials are classified into different groups according to ASTM standards.Valve body materials are sorted into four categories,carbon steel,high temperature steel,low temperature steel and stainless steel.This paper introduced chemical composition and mechanical properties of materials,and applied condition.An engineering case study was demonstrated for the selection principles of valve body materials.
