Exploring the Quad: An "Indo-Pacific" Perspective

在特朗普政府"印太"战略的背景下,美印日澳四边安全对话重新启动并出现常态化趋势,相关各方之间的实质性战略互动明显加强,反映出亚太及印度洋地区安全格局的重大变化。但事实表明,四边机制各方的利益需求和目标设定并非协调一致,四边机制的走向也将受多种不确定因素的影响,印度的角色定位将起到至关重要的作用。必须指出,四边机制的形成和发展明显针对中国的战略崛起,对中国的安全利益构成严峻的挑战。

The Quad as reactivated under the context of “Indo-Pacific” indicated a much enhanced interaction among the four member states and therefore signifies a major development of the security system in Asia-Pacific. However, future development of Quad will be influenced by the differed national interests and policy targets of each member states, while New Delhi’s role will be of special significance in this regard. The Quad can be a major challenge to the security interest of China.
