Subtitle translation is an important vehicle of movie culture communication as well as a key factor of film success,which provides means of appreciating movies and foreign cultures.Skopostheory,centering on the translating purpose,is suitable for subtitle translation.With the guidance of skopostheory,the article takes the movie The King’s Speech as an example,and puts forward some translating skills in order to pass the cultural information more efficiently to the audience.
