唐与西域书籍交流活动频繁,从书籍流向来看,既有从唐朝向西域输出,也有西域向唐朝输出的现象。双方的共同利益是书籍环流的动力,唐朝是为了提升文化话语权和政治影响力。西域是为了学习先进文化和制度的强国需求。书籍环流的参与者,主要有赴西域的使节、西域质子、西域商人、唐与西域双方互往的僧侣。他们是唐与西域互通互动的桥梁,书籍环流的主要媒介。

Books exchange activities between Tang Dynasty and Western Region were frequent.In terms of book flow,there were both export from Tang Dynasty to the Western Region and import from the western region to Tang Dynasty.The common interests of both sides were the driving force for book circulation.Tang Dynasty wanted to enhance its discourse power and political influence through the circulation while the Western Region want to learn advanced culture and system to become powerful.The participants in the book circulation are mainly envoys,hostages,and businessmen in the Western Regions and monks sent to each other.They are the bridge of interaction between tang Dynasty and the Western Regions and the main medium of book circulation.
