The Theoretical Connotation and Consolidating Approach of Xi Jinping's “the Sense of Community of the Chinese Nation” in the New Era

习近平总书记在党的十九大报告中对我国当前发展的历史方位进行了全新的重大界定,并鲜明地指出:中国共产党带领全国人民经过长期和共同的努力奋斗,使中国特色社会主义进入了新时代。在中国特色社会主义新时代,要进一步深化民族团结进步教育,铸牢中华民族共同体意识。而随着新时代我国社会主要矛盾的转化和国内外形势深刻复杂的变化,中华民族共同体意识的铸牢也面临着许多现实困境和严峻挑战。为此,我们应当从中华民族共同体意识的物质基础、制度基础和民意基础等多个方面予以夯实。

General Secretary Xi Jinping makes a brand-new and significant definition of the historical orientation of China’s development at present in the report to the 19th National Congress of CPC.He points out distinctly that,the Communist Party of China has led the national people into a new era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics through long-term and joint endeavor.In the new era of Chinese characteristic socialism,education on the unity and progress of nationalities should be deepened,in order to consolidate the sense of community of the Chinese nation.Moreover,with the evolution of the principal contradiction facing Chinese social and the profound and complicated changes in national and international situation in the new era,consolidating the sense of community of the Chinese nation faces numerous realistic difficulties and severe challenges.For this purpose,we should strengthen it from various aspects of the sense of community of the Chinese nation such as the material basis,institutional basis,and public opinion basis.
