The Review of Jullien Francois' Sinology Research

20世纪中叶以来,法国汉学研究取得了长足发展。作为汉学研究的佼佼者,弗朗索瓦·于连在哲学上阐述了东西方道德根基的差别和认识世界的差异,在艺术上追根溯源归纳中国古典艺术的本质特征,在方法上提出以中国为"他者"的"迂回比较"方法,这些都为世界汉学研究提供了新方法,做出了新贡献。

From 1950s, the French Sinology Research made considerable progress. As the leader in Chinese studies, Jullien Francois explained the different understanding of the world between the China and the West from the moral perspective in philosophy. And artistically, he traced and summarized the essential characteristics of Chinese classical art. Jullien’s method that China was “otherness” which was called an approach of “roundabout comparison” provides new ways and new contributions for the world sinology.
