Categorization and Semantic Cognitive Characteristics of Political Translation

范畴化问题始终是认知研究的一个中心论题。政论词作为争夺话语权的利器,其产生是人类认知概念化和范畴化的结果。政论语篇旨在强调政策的立场观点,具有较固定的表达方式,在翻译时要特别注意词语的简洁、准确和地道。政论翻译富有鲜明的专业特色和周密的译事要求,是翻译中十分重要的领域和研究素材。这就要求政论翻译必然要符合或遵守某种规则来达到预期的译语目的。基于这类假设,拟从范畴化和认知的角度出发,分析政论语篇的语言形式,探讨政论翻译的范畴化现象及语义认知特征,最后对政论语篇的翻译进行总体概述。

Categorization has always been a central topic in cognitive research.As a sharp weapon for contending for discourse power,political commentary is the result of conceptualization and categorization of human cognition.Political discourse aims at emphasizing the standpoint and viewpoint of policy and has a fixed way of expression.When translating political discourse,special attention should be paid to the simplicity,accuracy and authenticity of words.Political translation,with its distinctive professional characteristics and meticulous translation requirements,is a very important field and research material in translation.This requires that political translation must conform to or abide by certain rules in order to achieve the desired translation purpose.Based on this hypothesis,this paper intends to analyze the linguistic form of political discourse from the perspective of categorization and cognition,then discuss the categorization and semantic cognitive features of political discourse translation,and finally give a general overview of the translation of political discourse.
